The Broadband for Rural Communities Scheme is a joint Government and BT OpenReach funded programme to deliver UltraFast ‘gigabit-capable’ broadband to businesses and residents when part of a group project.
If you have already registered using a BT letter sent direct to your property please re-register on this site.
Establishing the group project gives BT OpenReach a co-ordination contact and enables economy of scale in installing the services. The scheme is controlled by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and more information can be found here.
This process has already been started for Satterleigh and Warkleigh and we have a registered project live with BT OpenReach, in 2020 everyone who is connected to the Internet via Cabinet 3 (Swingate Cross) and Cabinet 2 (Chittlehamholt Village) was asked to register and the Project was established.
At present the project is ‘on hold’ until the ‘Gainshare’ FTTP rollout in the parish is completed so that a revised quote can be obtained from BT OpenReach.
